Professor of Theophostic Counseling

Dr. Kasten is a practicing Psy.Th.D.-credentialled theocentric counselor (CBT certified) in Western Michigan in addition to his course creation and teaching work with MJR Yeshiva. He also holds an M.A. in Chaplaincy and serves as chaplain and counselor for Blues Gym (affiliated with boxer Floyd Mayweather Sr). He earned his doctorate degrees from Shepherds Care Bible College (Doctor of Clinical Religious Counseling) and United Graduate College and Seminary (Psy.Th.D.) and serves as a Teaching Assistant at the latter. Additional areas of study undertaken include Biochemistry and Nutrition Science (American Health Science University) and Kinesiology (The Kinesiology Institute). Substance Abuse Recovery is a particular area of specialization in Dr. Kasten’s wellness career.
